Little Bohemia Day-Part 3

Welcome back...last day of our tour of Little Bohemia.
This is a sign just inside the restaurant doors.

They have a display of a few Dillinger items...
not much there
right now, as most of it is still
out on loan to Public Enemies.

Above, it a empty shell, and a bullet-ridden tin can
used for practice.

This is the back of the restaurant...you can see people
inside enjoying their delicious dinners and the evening
sunset across the lake.

This is a view from the boat landing (behind my back).
I loved the LUNCH sign.

This is the lake frontage that Dillinger used for
his escape. "He ran that way!"

Thanks for coming on the tour.
Next up... Al Capone's Hideout.

Happy 4th everyone!! Cheers!

Little Bohemia Day-Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of Little Bohemia Day!
In this tour we will continue to go to our right...follow me...

Upper right side...balcony with bullet holes!

Right side and back quarter of restaurant. We ate in the little room
next to the room where the shooting took place. The stairs in the
middle of the photo lead up to that little room in the restaurant.

Nice view of lake from inside & great food!!

These windows are on either side of the chimney...
they still have the bullet holes in them!

The whole side of the building was riddled with
holes, including the masonry of the chimney.

More photos to come later...the one of Johnny
at Little Bohemia will go up much much later...
like next year. LOL

Little Bohemia Day-Part 1

Here are a few photos from our evening trip to Little Bohemia.
We wandered around after dinner and found this sign leaning up
against the wall in the garage.

They had a display case in the restaurant of some Dillinger items.
(I'll
post a few pix of that in a few days) Below is an old photo of
Little Bohemia
autographed by Johnny Depp. Notice that it is screwed
into the wall?
(Lotus, I know you will be visiting Little Bo on your
vacation this week.
I don't this photo will be leaving with anyone. *wink*)

We talked to our waitress about PE filming up at Little Bo.
She said that PE worked on the sets for 6-8 weeks, Johnny was only
there for 8 days of filming. She remarked that PE still had a lot of the
actual Dillinger items and they would be returned later. That was
why they didn't have as much as they typically have displayed.
She was told that Little Bo would be edited down to maybe 10
minutes in PE.

Little Star Lake...nearly looks like any lake...except for the
embankment
in the foreground...Dillinger's escape route.
More photos to come later....
